Mastering Video Editing: How It Drives Sales with Stunning Color Grading, Dynamic Speed Ramping, and Engaging Storytelling"
Hey guys,
Today, I would like to share what I've learnt so far in video editing during my first 3 months of learning and how it is a vital tool in marketing personal services or selling a product. I started video editing to share my fitness journey and experiences of how I went from being a skinny kid to becoming jacked so I could impact as many people as possible to start whatever it is, they've got going on in their lives. Without wasting much time these are the 5 fascinating experiences I've got from video editing.
Color correction and grading; In simple terms, color correction is fixing any color problems in an image or video to make it look natural and balanced. It deals with adjustment of camera settings like contrast, brightness and exposure which may occur as a result of the lighting conditions when the shot was taken. Color grading on the other hand, is creating a unique style by adding a specific look or mood to the video or image. It can help establish a mood of a scene, make footage look more cinematic and differentiate between various part of a story.
Speed ramping; This is a very fascinating aspect of video editing, because it gives a more realistic vibe to a video. It involves gradually speeding up or slowing down the playback speed of a video to create a visually interesting effect.
Imagine watching a movie where a hero walks slowly towards a villain and is about to strike him and does that swiftly, and at a much faster pace. This is an example of speed ramping. It can be used in various ways to add emphasis or creativity to a video to make it more engaging.
Music and Sound effects; This is as important as the clip itself, because if there isn't music or sound effects the video will be dormant and will not convey any message to the viewers. Music is a collection of organized sounds, usually involving instruments and vocals that is added to a video. It serves in setting the mood, evoking emotions and enhance storytelling. Sound effects on the other hand, are sounds added to a video to enhance the overall experience and create a sense of realism. Example of sound effects are footsteps, rustling of leaves, drinking water, laughter etc.
If you're an entrepreneur and you offer personal services or sell physical, digital products. Video editing can really drive sales for you because it's a dramatic representation of your product or service. When these tools are combined and used effectively, they result in higher quality videos which in turn lead to;
Professional Representation
Create polished and professional looking videos that create a positive impression on potential customers.
They provide higher quality video which can instill confidence in the service or product being offered making customers more likely to trust and buy from the seller.
Engaging Content
These tools enable the incorporation of captivating visual effects, transitions and animations that keep viewers engaged till the end.
It helps to retain the audience of viewers, ensuring they get the intended marketing message and encourage them to take action such as making a purchase.
Effective Storytelling
It helps structure the video's narrative allowing the seller to tell a compelling story about their product or service.
Effective storytelling can evoke emotions, connect with the audience on a personal level and showcase the value and benefits of the product or service, ultimately driving sales.
